Quantum and classical pairwise correlations in two typical collective spin
systems, i.e. the Dicke model and the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model are discussed.
In the thermodynamical limit, analytical expressions of these correlations are
derived. Within the effective technique proposed previously, theses
correlations for finite size system can be also obtained numerically up to very
large size. The scaling behavior for the quantum discord and its first
derivative are analyzed. The comparison of the quantum discord and the
concurrence are performed and essentially different behaviors are observed.
