We construct minimal composite two-qubit gates with an Ising-type interaction. They are robust against inaccuracy of the coupling strength and the obtained quantum circuits are constructed with the minimal number of elementary two-qubit gates. The proposed circuits have the following properties: (1) The Controlled-NOT gate can be made robust in our construction, while the SWAP gate cannot. (2) All the robust circuits can be mapped to one-qubit circuits robust against a pulse length error. (3) These circuits are geometric in nature in view of the Aharonov-Anandan phase.
