Quantumness of bound entangled states    [PDF]

Swapan Rana, Preeti Parashar
We employ geometric discord and measurement induced nonlocality to quantify quantumness of some well-known bipartite bound entangled states, namely the two families of Horodecki's ($2\otimes4$ and $3\otimes3$ dimensional) bound entangled states and that of Bennett et al's in $3\otimes3$ dimension. In most of the cases our results are analytic and both the measures attain relatively small value. We found that while viewed as $2\otimes8$ system, not only the notion, but also the amount of quantumness of the $4\otimes4$ Werner and isotropic states remains the same. The bound entangled state of Benatti et al exhibits the same property.
