one dimension

The scattering of a photon with sufficiently high energy will cause the scatterer recoil in spatial motion. We study the backaction of the scatterer's recoil on the photon's coherent transport in one dimension with a simplified model, where the motional scatterer is modeled as a two-level system trapped in a harmonic potential. While the M$\ddot{o}$ssbauer effect results in an ideal coherent control in the Lamb-Dicke limit, the phononic multi-peaks can be observed in the reflectance spectrum as the trap becomes looser or the mass of the two-level system becomes smaller.
