Single photon sources represent a fundamental building block for optical implementations of quantum information. In this paper we propose a multiplexed system based on asymmetric configuration of multiple heralded single photon sources. The performance and the scalability comparison of the scheme to both existing multiple-source architectures and simple faint laser configuration reveals an advantage of the proposed scheme in realistic scenarios, and provide insights on the potential of these architectures for integrated implementation.
